The Canopea© project attempts to answer this question: how can we live together in a dense urban environment, in collective housing buildings providing shared services, facilitating access to business and cultural facilities, while keeping most of the advantages of a house in order to fight against urban sprawl?
The answer is the Nanotower: a collective housing that offers both qualities of life in a detached house and advantages of the city.
Today, this demonstration unit has been deconstructed for multiple purposes. The main reason was to gather the materials which are still in good condition in order to reuse them, either in the next demonstration unit for SDE21-22 or in other projects at Les Grand Ateliers.
